Air Cooled Diesel Generator

The air cooling system uses high-speed airflow to directly blow through the outer surface of the cylinder head and cylinder block, dissipating the heat from the inside of the cylinder to the atmosphere, so as to ensure that the diesel generator works in the most favorable temperature range.

Diesel generator cylinders and cylinder heads are made of aluminum alloy with good heat transfer. In order to increase the heat area, each cylinder is generally manufactured separately. Many evenly arranged heat sinks are distributed on the surface of the cylinder and cylinder head to increase the heat dissipation area. Using the high-speed airflow when the engine is running, the heat is blown into the atmosphere.

Due to the high power of diesel generators, more heat needs to be cooled, and axial flow fans with larger power and flow are often used to strengthen the cooling of diesel engines. In order to effectively use the airflow and ensure uniform cooling of each cylinder, the diesel generator is equipped with a shroud, a diverter plate, and a cylinder liner deflector.

The air cooling system has the advantages of a simple structure, is lightweight, has fewer failures, and has no special maintenance. It is mainly used in portable diesel generators, high-end engineering machinery, and agricultural equipment.
