oil type transformer

The oil-type transformer is a common piece of equipment in power systems. It has a low operating cost, good heat dissipation performance, and strong overload capacity. It can be used in different fields, such as petroleum, chemical, heavy industry, and other enterprises. The main advantages of oil-immersed transformers are as follows:

oil filled type transformer

(1) High voltage: The primary voltage of the test transformer is 220V or 380V, but the secondary voltage of a single test transformer often reaches thousands of volts to tens of thousands of volts. The test transformer with a secondary voltage exceeding 750kV usually adopts multiple cascade structures.

(2) Small current: The rated current of the test transformer is actually the capacitive current of the tested product, so it is generally less than 1A. However, for test transformers used for cable and large motor tests, external insulation pollution tests, line corona tests, etc., the secondary current can reach several amperes.

(3) Short working time: Due to the short withstand voltage time of the tested products, the test transformer is generally used for short-time work of 0.5h or 1h except for the external insulation pollution test, line corona test, and cable test.

All in all, oil-immersed type transformers have many advantages in power systems. Its stable output, durability, easy maintenance, and long service life make it an indispensable piece of equipment in the power industry.
